Я сразу поняла, что буду использовать в работах монотипию. Все эти красивые акварельные разводы на фоне - это мои старые бумажные сканы, которые ждали своего часа. Краска очень здорово разливается в сказочные фантастические деревья, создает причудливые текстуры и узоры, в которых можно увидеть все, что угодно - чем не нарнийское волшебство?
I understood immediately that I would use a monotype in my illustrations. All this beautiful watercolor stains on the background - are my old paper scans, which were waiting in the wings. The aquarelle turns into fairytale fantasy trees, creates dreamy textures and patterns, in which you can see anything - is not it a narnian magic?

В иллюстрациях я постаралась сделать так, чтобы четверо детей всегда выделялись. Чаще всего я использовала для них белый цвет, отчасти, как символ чистоты и светлой силы в борьбе с Колдуньей, и как знак того, что они не из мира Нарнии. Но я не стала изображать их везде подобным образом, например в этой картинке, мне наоборот хотелось показать контраст между Эдмундом и Джадис.
I tried to make the illustrations in such a way that four children always stood out. Most often I used a white color for this partly as a symbol of purity, as a symbol of light power in the fight against the Witch, and as a sign that children aren't from Narnia's world. But I didn't portray them everywhere in the same way, for example, in this illustration I wanted to show a contrast between Edmund and Jadis.
